Michela Hall, M.F.A., is an assistant professor in the media department in McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts. Her instruction focuses on visual media design and interface communications, while her research dives deeper into media representation and consumption. Prior to her current title, Hall was an adjunct instructor in the media department while running her own freelance photography, videography and social media management services. She continues to produce "Ethically Speaking," a podcast sponsored by the Yoder Institute at Duquesne University, which has been a finalist in the 2026 Golden Quill Awards of The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania. If you've caught a t-shirt during the 7th inning toss at a Pittsburgh Pirates game, you might have caught it from her during her time with the Bucco Brigade! When Michela is unplugged, she enjoys reading, crafting and refinishing furniture, and working out (jogging with, lifting without) her and her Fiancé's dog, Sgt. Sherman.
